ONE MAN SHOW:

After playing to packed houses at the Etc Theatre Camden, the Hen & Chickens Islington, and the Tunbridge Wells Comedy Festival across 2005-2006, I've written a new one man show.

'Something To Crow About'  is being performed at the Camden Comedy Fringe in July 2007, and the Edinburgh Free Fringe in August 2007.

PETE GOLD: SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT.

"London's best comedy songwriter" (Fringe Report), explodes onto the stage with a brand new one man show. A bubbling concoction of stand-up, songs, and characters, Something To Crow About is guaranteed to leave the audience with a comedy hangover they wont forget.

Endearingly awkward, Pete covers topics such as how Darth Vader helped me give up KitKats, and including songs such as "The MySpace Song", the Jake Thackray-inspired "Lady Golfer", and the self-explanatory "P*ss Off, we donšt want the Olympics". Therešs also an audience participation song which promises to trick even the most puritanical punter into swearing at the top of their lungs.

Plus, therešs a ballad about a duck that falls in love with a swan, called ŗThe Love that Dare Not Quack Its Name˛. Itšs got all the ingredients of a good Country and Western song: a pair of doomed lovers, lashings of tragedy, and a dash of hoi-sin sauce.

Here's what other people have said about Pete's past performances:

"You are f**king brilliant!" - Ed Byrne (in the middle of Pete's act).

"Phenomenally successful" - The Guardian.

"Skilfull and entertaining" - the songs are tremendous!" - Time Out.

"Londons best comedy songwriter" - Fringe Report.

"Kept the audience weeping for a solid hour" - The List.

"One of the best fringe comedy acts" - The Scotsman.

"Verbally dextrous, comically inspired" - Paramount Comedy Channel.

"Bags of imagination" - The Stage.

"Subtle, powerful, and very funny" - Fringe Report.

"A bit like Mitch Benn, but not quite as good" -  Pete's Dad.

"I regret ever having born you" -  Pete's Mum.
